SPRING!
What a
fabulous time of year…warmer weather is upon us, the
days are getting longer and brighter, and with the
laughs of neighborhood kids playing outside we are
reminded of the beauty of the spring season.
With the frost out of the ground, spring makes it a
perfect time to start an outside remodeling project
such as a room addition, porch, or
landscaping. As you consider your options you
will want to be sure that the company you hire is
one you can trust. So what should you look for
in finding a trustworthy remodeling company? What
are some questions to ask the company as you
interview them about your project? Following
is a list of some thing that we think you will find
helpful to insure that the company you hire is one
that you can trust!
-
Ask
them about their business longevity in the
remodeling industry. It is a good idea to
view a project or two that they have completed.
-
Request a thorough account of the company’s
credentials. In particular, ask if the
company has earned professional designations
from their local Home Builders Association and
Remodelors Council. These designations
include the CGR (certified graduate remodelor),
GMB (graduate master builder), and maybe even
the CAPS (certified aging in place). These are a
few examples of designations that set your
remodelor apart from others.
-
Find
out if the company is a member of the Better
Business Bureau and check their standing.
-
Does
the company have a safety training program for
their employees? How about other
continuing education in the remodeling field?
-
How
does the company assure quality control?
Why do
these questions matter? They matter because
there is a lot to more to a successful remodeling
venture than getting a great finished project!
Behind the scenes there are accurate detailed
estimates to be written, a customer’s budget and
schedule to manage, job cleanliness to be
maintained, and a customer’s wishes to be met!
Thanks for visiting our web site and please call us
with any questions. Have a great spring and
summer! |

Compare The Cost Of Moving To Remodeling.
Moving is expensive, typically involving a 6%
commission on the sale of your current home,
plus another 2-4% for closing, moving, and other
costs. If you like the present
neighborhood then look into what remodeling improvements
you could make with 8-10% of your home's current
value before you decide to move. |
